Early Life
Dr. Andrew Rogerson, age 73, passed away on January 28th. Andrew was born in Wishaw, Scotland on New Years Day, 1953, to Margaret and Bill Rogerson, the third child and beloved brother of older sisters Ann and Margot. The family moved to Glasgow when Andrew was 6 months old. Growing up in Glasgow, Andrew attended Scotland’s oldest school, the High School of Glasgow, established in 1124.
Farewell
Andrew lived a full, fascinating life. He was a lifelong visual fine artist as well as a scientist. In his retirement he pursued his art with the goal of becoming a significant local artist focusing on the landscapes of Sonoma County. He was a sports car and motorbike enthusiast and was happiest with the top down and the wind in his face. Andrew was a proud Scot, a lover of Formula One, a good mystery, a great glass of wine, and his devoted Rhodesian Ridgeback, Bonny. He was brilliant, wise, funny, ever a surprise, fearless and adventurous, could fix almost anything and loved helping his family and friends. We will miss him all the days of our lives.
